The HIV/AIDS/STI programme:
Over the past 3 years the core team have focused their work at the CDRC on the Government of Barbados/EU funded Barbados HIV Impact Project which has been directed towards improving the HIV/AIDS program in Barbados through ongoing impact assessment and M&E. The Project operates collaboratively with the National HIV/AIDS Commission and the Ministry of Health.
The team has recently begun to provide their services in enhancing the Caribbean regional response to HIV/AIDS/STIs by providing expertise in:
- Situational assessment of HIV/AIDS and STIs
- Strategic planning, and program design: Scaling up health systems for an integrated response to HIV/AIDS
- Program monitoring and evaluation
- Responsive, client-focused training.
- Dissemination of research to community with continuous liaison with key stakeholders, including people living with and affected by HIV and AIDS.
- Promoting and developing partnerships with the National HIV/AIDS commission, and government
- We promote the leveraging of public, donor, and private sector resources.
- Designing, developing and delivering client-focused HIV/AIDS workplace training programmes.
